UK: petrol station brand effectiveness 2023

Sainsbury's had the highest effectiveness rate among petrol station brands in the United Kingdom in 2023, at 2.63. Effectiveness is calculated by dividing motor fuel market share by outlet market share showing which brands sell the most motor fuel in the fewest petrol station sites. Supermarkets dominated this ranking, followed by the more well-known petrol stations such as Shell and BP, at 1.03 and 0.99, respectively.
