Number of renewable energy generating sites in England 2016-2019, by region
South West recorded the largest number of sites generating electricity from renewable sources, with the exception of solar photovoltaics, in England between 2016 and 2019. In 2019, there were 1,147 sites in the South West where renewables were used to generate electricity, while there were 122,608 sites producing electricity from solar photovoltaic.
