European patent applications per million inhabitants in 2020
Data on the ratio of patent applications to the European Patent Office (EPO) to million inhabitants in selected countries in 2020 shows that Switzerland had almost 965.9 applications per million inhabitants filed with the EPO. This was followed by Sweden and Denmark with 434.2 and 409.6 patent applications, respectively.
