Global extinction risks due to climate change by region 2015
This statistic displays the percentage of animal and plant species that are most at risk of extinction due to climate change as of 2015, based on region. During this year, about 11.6 percent of species are at risk of extinction due to climate change in Africa. Under current targets of limiting global temperature rise to 2 degree Celsius above pre-industrial temperatures, we can expect a loss of 5 percent of species.
