This graph illustrates the results of a survey on the leading 100 most popular employers among engineering students close to graduating in Germany from 2015/16 and 2017/18. The survey provides insight into the opinions and views of soon-to-be engineering graduates on entering the job market. In 2017/18, 16.8 percent of responding students chose BMW as the most desired employer for engineers, stagnating at the same level as one year earlier in 2016/17.

According to the source, the survey "trendence Graduate Barometer" (formerly "Absolventenbarometer") has been carried out annually by the Institute trendence since 1999. In 2016, approximately 90 thousand students participated in the trendence Graduate Barometer. As part of the anonymous survey, they shared information about their goals and aspirations as well as their expectations of and demands for employers and many other factors influencing their choice of employer.
