Latin America: insurance premiums earned 2020-2021, by country
In 2021, Mexico was the Latin American country with the highest volume of premiums earned by the insurance industry. Over 20 billion U.S. dollars in premiums earned was reached that year, followed by Brazil, with earned insurance premiums amounting to approximately 19.4 billion dollars. Furthermore, the premium volume of the non-life insurance industry in Brazil amounted to almost 19 billion U.S. dollars that year.
