Average volume of nitrogen fertilizer used by region of England 2012-2018

In 2017/18, the East of England used the most nitrogen fertilizer out of any English region. An average of 128 kilograms per hectare was applied that year. This was an increase of 5 kilograms per hectare compared to five years previous. The least amount of nitrogen fertilizer was used in the North West.
