This statistic shows the results of a survey conducted in the United States in March 2017, by ethnicity. U.S. adults were asked what medical conditions they received hospital treatments for in the preceding five years. Among Hispanic American or Latino respondents, and White or Caucasian respondents, about 6 percent stated that they had been treated for a mental illness within the past five years.
