In 2020, 10 percent of British adults said they definitely planned to take an overnight trip over the August bank holiday weekend, and 12 percent said they planned to take a day trip. The share of respondents who planned to take a holiday trip in 2020 decreased by half of the previous year's total. Travel interests during this period may have been affected by the impact of the the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in Great Britain.
