This statistic shows the top 10 most popular holiday destinations among Italians in summer 2017. According to the study, Gallipoli in Apulia was the favorite destination of the Italian travelers (8.6 percent of holiday-makers from the age group 18-44 traveled there), followed by Naples (eight percent) and Lecce (six percent). Other popular domestic destinations were Rimini (roughly five percent) and Lamezia Terme (3.5 percent).
