This statistic shows the results of a survey conducted in 2016 on the attitude of Swedes towards keeping or disestablishing the monarchy, by city area. During the survey period, respondents from the Gothenburg area were least interested in keeping the monarchy, with roughly 50 percent stating to keep it. With a share of 74 percent, residents of the capital area of Stockholm wanted to definitely keep the monarchy. Only 15 percent wanted it to be disestablished.
