This statistic shows the annual consumption volume of thermal energy generated by renewable energy sources in Italy from 2010 to 2018. As depicted by the figure, the consumption of thermal energy produced by renewables significantly grew over the years. While in 2010 it amounted to 10.2 million tons of oil equivalent, in 2017 the consumption reached a value of 11.21 million tons of oil equivalent. In 2018, the consumption amounted to 10.67 million toe, down from the previous year.
