The number of employed people in Estonia were forecast to remain on a similar level in 2024 as compared to 2023 with 0.68 million people. According to this forecast, the number will stay nearly the same over the forecast period.
As defined by the International Monetary Fund, the number of employed people refers to persons who during a pre-defined period, either: a) performed wage or salary work, b) held a formal attachment to their job (even if not currently working), (c) performed for-profit work for personal or family gain, (d) were with an enterprise although temporarily not at work for any specific reason.
