This statistic shows the average price of electricity in Italy in selected years between 2011 and 2016, by source. Overall, the average price of electricity has decreased for all sources taken into account. In 2011, the most expensive source of electricity was the photovoltaic one, while the cheapest was the geothermal. In 2016, on the contrary, photovoltaic was the cheapest, while thermal had the highest price.
