Latin America: growth of travel and tourism direct contribution to GDP 2018
In 2018, Ecuador experienced the highest growth rate of travel and tourism direct contribution to GDP among all Latin American countries, with nearly 22 percent. On the contrary, Nicaragua saw a decline of 12.22 while in Venezuela, the direct contribution of travel and tourism to GDP decreased 5.54 percent. Paraguay, Uruguay and Chile also recorded negative growth rates that same year.
