In the score of the the Regulation concerning European statistics on tourism, arrivals of residents (domestic) and non-residents (international) in tourist accommodation are defined as the number of people (tourists) arriving at tourist accommodation establishments. Arrivals in non-rented accommodation are not included.
No age limit applies: Children are counted as well as adults, even if the overnight stays of children are free of charge.
Arrivals of same-day visitors (no overnight stay) are excluded.
Tourist accommodation corresponds to NACE_R2 codes 1551-1553: Hotels; holiday and other short-stay accommodation; camping grounds, recreational vehicle parks and trailer parks.
