This statistic displays the distribution of the waste collected in some of the largest Italian cities in 2017, by type. Among the cities considered, Palermo was the one with the largest share of unsorted waste collected (86 percent), whereas Milan was the city with the greatest percentage of sorted waste collected. Lastly, Rome, Bari and Turin were the cities recording the largest share of paper waste sorted.
