Hotels are the most common accommodation type when traveling in Sweden. In 2018, close to 38 million overnight stays were recorded in Swedish hotels. With 16.1 million guest nights, camping sites was the second most common type of accommodation. Both hostels and holiday villages in Sweden reported overnight stays below four million that year.
