Forecast of the pension costs as share of GDP in Belgium 2020-2027
This statistic displays the pension costs as share of GDP in Belgium in 2020 and 2021, with a forecast for 2022 to 2027. Pension costs as share of GDP decreased by 0.5 percentage points between 2020 and 2021, and as of 2022 the pension costs in Belgium were forecast to increase to 7.2 percent of GDP. From 2022 onwards, pension costs were expected to increase annually, and by 2027 pension costs in Belgium were forecast to increase to approximately eight percent of GDP.
