Monthly number of overnight stays at holiday houses in Denmark 2019-2020
The number of overnight stays at holiday houses in Denmark significantly declined in April 2020 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. In that period, overnight stays dropped from over 1.8 million in the same month the previous year to just about 598 thousand. This figure fluctuated in the succeeding months and in July and August, the number of overnight stays in Denmark exceeded the figures from the year before. However, this figure declined again in the following months and in December 2020, the number of overnight stay reached 499 thousand.
