Tourist overnight stays in Denmark 2019-2021, by month
The number of tourist overnight stays in Denmark decreased sharply in March 2020 over the previous year due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. During that month, travel accommodations in Denmark recorded roughly 1.3 million overnight stays, dropping from nearly 2.3 million in March 2019. Over the summer months, overnight stays bounced back, peaking at around 12.2 million in August 2020. However, this figure decreased again during the following months. As of June 2021, travel accommodations in Denmark reported approximately 4.7 million overnight stays.
