The average monthly salaries at large companies in South Korea in 2018, divided by age group, were greater than the total average and the average salaries of smaller and non-profit companies. Employees in their 50s and 40s were the best paid, over six million South Korean won. For comparison, the total average for employees in all types of companies in their 40s and 50s was considerably less than 4 million won per month.
