In 2018, the gross domestic product (GDP) of the Chinese capital Beijing amounted to approximately 3.03 trillion yuan, compared to about 2.8 trillion yuan in 2017. Beijing is located in northern China. Together with Tianjin and Hebei province it forms the Jing-Jin-Ji Metropolitain Region, which is the most important economic zone in northern China.
