Statista trend report on employees' satisfaction with their employer worldwide
In order to attract and retain the best talent, employee satisfaction has become increasingly important to companies across the world. To measure how well employers are doing in regards to employee satisfaction, Statista collected answers from almost 200,000 employees in 56 countries across the world, analyzing the importance of five key metrics. These include the company image, the employer’s culture, colleagues, and superiors, the perceived equality in the workplace, the employee salary, and the infrastructure and equipment supplied by a company.
This report examines the results of this survey, with particular focus given to the share of respondents who would recommend their employer to a friend or relative, compared to the share who would not. The difference between these two groups is called the net promoter score (NPS). Some key findings included in this report include the average worldwide NPS, which region has the highest NPS, what particular factors drive employee satisfaction, and how this differs by demographic groups and countries.
This in-depth report analyzes employees' satisfaction on a worldwide level and broken-down to the level of regions (Americas, Europe, APAC, and MEA) and selected countries (United States, Canada, Germany, France, Singapore, and the Philippines), including also findings per industry and deep-dive profiles on a selection of world's largest multinational employers. The survey results were collected between the months of September 2022 and August 2023.
