Employees' satisfaction is a key success factor for many employers worldwide and companies - especially the largest ones - are increasingly investing in it. Which share of employees is satisfied with their employer and which are the key factors for this? To answer these (and more) questions, Statista collected and analyzed answers from over 180,000 employees in 56 world countries. Using the net promoter score (NPS) as unified and internationally-comparable measure, this report finds that the average world NPS is 18 percent. This means that the number of employees promoting their employer is higher than the number of employees not doing it. Among the reasons for an employee to be more or less satisfied with its employer, gender equality in the workplace is found to be the most influential driver, confirming how addressing the gender gap is of capital importance for modern employers.
Statista finds that Mexican employees are the most satisfied among the selected countries with a NPS of 53%, and 64% of the respondents who would recommend their employer to their friends and family.
