Green IT and cloud computing in 2012

This 2012 Greenpeace report examines the energy choices of leading cloud and IT service providers. The paper lists key findings such as the prevalence of the cloud with tech giants such as Amazon, Apple and Microsoft as well as the continuous expansion of cloud services, as well as renewable energy in the cloud sector. Facebook’s efforts regarding the latter point are highlighted, as well as other green IT attempts. A total of 14 global IT companies are featured in this report.
