This report is updated and revised from an earlier version, issued in 1996. This new version updates nearly all of the data from the previous report. It incorporates Census 2000 data, and includes new national projections and new survey data. The report includes the most valuable facts and figures concerning the U.S. population group 65+, with an emphasis on the topic health care and health risks.
