There are sizable opportunities for real estate developers and investors as more businesses require higher quality, fit-to-suit properties. As of 2018, almost one fifth of the UK’s warehouse stock was not fit for purpose. High rental growths, low vacancy rates and some of the highest average prime rents of anywhere in Europe continue to make the UK a top choice for investment.
The UK is a full of highly populated economic centers in a relatively compact area, meaning companies can have their warehouses operating near strong customer bases. This strength though, is fast becoming the countries main weakness as developers are now struggling to find prime locations for new construction.
