This year, 75.4 percent of Americans are expected to celebrate Father's Day, according to the National Retail Federation. Even though it isn't the most lucrative holiday of the year for retailers, people are still expected to spend $12.7 billion in the U.S. That amounts to about $115.57 per person, slightly higher than $113.80 last year.
Dad's aren't the only ones expecting gifts this Sunday - husbands, sons and brothers can also expect some gifts. Where are people going to do the bulk of their shopping this year? 36.4 percent will head to the department store while 29.2 percent intend shopping online.
