Industry revenue of »manufacture of office and shop furniture« in Estonia 2011-2023

Of late, Estonia has emerged as one of the leading hubs for European start-ups, fuelled by the stable economic conditions and low tax rates. Moreover, leading international firms such as Microsoft, Swedbank, Skype and Ericsson, to name a few, have launched their offices in the country over the years, with many more expected to follow their footsteps in the medium term. This has augured well for the office and shop furniture manufacturing industry, with revenues projected to grow nearly three-fold, from 51 million U.S. dollars in 2011 to 150 million U.S. dollars by 2023. Additionally, the industry has also benefited from innovations in manufacturing processes, the availability of a skilled workforce, and a dense forest cover. As a whole, the number of enterprises in the furniture manufacturing industry have been growing steadily since 2011 and amounted to 735 in 2017.

Kalla Moobel and Sarkop and amongst the most renowned domestic furniture manufactures in the country. Interestingly, Kalla Moobel has furnished the office of Skype in the country.
