According to a survey conducted by Ipsos on predictions for global issues in January 2019, 57 percent of Indian respondents felt that doctors in the country will regularly use artificial intelligence to decide on treatment for their patients. However, 35 percent of respondents felt this scenario to be unlikely in the country that year.
Overall, two out of five respondents globally considered it likely that artificial intelligence will be used regularly to help treat patients that year.

The question asked in the survey was as follows: "For each of the following, please tell me how likely or unlikely you think they are to happen: Doctors in India will regularly use artificial intelligence to decide on treatment for their patients."
According to the source, respondents were more urban and educated, with higher incomes than their fellow citizens, referred to as "Upper Deck Consumer Citizens". They were not nationally representative of their country.
