According to the data provided by Prometeia, in 2017, the return on equity (ROE) of the Italian machinery industry for paper and paperboard manufacturing was equal to 22.1 percent. In 2018, the ROE was expected to remain stable, whereas it was forecasted to decrease to 19.6 percent in 2019. In 2021, the return on equity generated by this industry was supposed to increase again before decreasing to 19.3 percent in 2021.
