According to a survey on racial and religious harmony in Singapore, 29.3 percent of respondents in Singapore stated that they were moderately comfortable with having a Buddhist temple near their homes. Singapore is one of the world's most religiously diverse societies, with ten officially recognized religions. Buddhism is one of the main religions in Singapore, with around 1.09 million Buddhists recorded there as of 2016.
