
Use of contraceptives in Denmark 2018, by type and gender
In 2018, using a condom was the most common contraceptive method among Danes. In total, 48 percent of the respondents, who had used contraception within the last year, had chosen a condom. This was especially the case for men (54 percent), compared to 42 percent of women. The second most common type of contraception was birth control pills, by 42 percent of the respondents. Furthermore, ten percent of the Danish population used natural birth control as a contraceptive method that year.
