Number of registered psychologists in Belgium 2013-2020
In 2020, nearly 15 thousand psychologists were registered in the country, whereas in 2013 less than 8.4 thousand mental health specialists were officially registered. In Belgium, for a person to use the title of psychologist, he/she must have the required diplomas and also be registered to the psychologist commission. Over the years, the number of psychologists joining the commission was rising consistently. In 2020, however, the number of psychologists decreased for the first time in Belgium.
