Apparent steel use in Taiwan 2009-2019
In 2018 the apparent steel use (ASU) in Taiwan amounted to approximately 21.15 million metric tons of crude steel equivalent. Apparent steel use is defined as production volume or deliveries plus imports minus exports of steel industry goods and is commonly used to measure steel demand. ASU can be calculated for crude steel equivalent or finished steel products.
