Share of Americans who find it difficult to afford Rx medicine 2021, by income
Some 35 percent of surveyed U.S. adults who took at least on Rx drug and earned an annual income of less than 40,000 U.S. dollars found it difficult to afford the cost of their prescription medicine, as of October 2021. Among those surveyed with an annual income of more than 90,000 dollars, only 10 percent reported to have this problem. This statistic shows the share of Americans who say it is difficult to afford the cost of their prescription medicine as of 2021, by income level.
