Some 35 percent of surveyed U.S. adults who took at least on Rx drug and earned an annual income of less than 40,000 U.S. dollars found it difficult to afford the cost of their prescription medicine, as of October 2021. Among those surveyed with an annual income of more than 90,000 dollars, only 10 percent reported to have this problem.
