Mobile voice traffic share in Tanzania Q3 2021, by type and operator

Among the six mobile service operators in Tanzania, Airtel, Vodacom, and Tigo had the biggest shares of mobile traffic minutes during the third quarter of 2021. Looking at the national mobile traffic, Airtel had the biggest share of both on net and off net traffic minutes, followed close by Vodacom. As for the international voice traffic, Vodacom was the leading provider with a 66 percent share in East African (EA) traffic minutes and a 44 percent share in other international traffic minutes.

EA or EAC refers to the group of countries organized in the East African Community Organization: The Republics of Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Uganda and the United Republic of Tanzania.
