Germany: market value of unicorns by industry 2021

As of April 2021, German unicorns operating in the finance and insurance sector had a cumulative market valuation of over eight billion U.S. dollars, which put them ahead of the transportation and logistics unicorns at 6.8 billion U.S. dollars. Germany had the second highest number of unicorns in Europe and fifth globally. A unicorn is a privately held company worth one billion U.S. dollars or more.
