Share of bar and food occupations in pubs and bars in the UK 2003-2019
Food service occupations, such as chefs and servers, now account for a higher share of employees in pubs and bars in the UK than staff working behind the bar. In 2019, 28.9 percent of employees of bar and pub enterprises were part of the bar staff, and 43.8 percent were providing food services.
