Total tourism GDP in Latin American countries 2021
In 2021, Mexico was the Latin American country with the largest total contribution of the travel and tourism sector to the gross domestic product (GDP), with almost 170 billion U.S. dollars. Brazil was second on the list that year, as travel and tourism contributed approximately 104 billion U.S. dollars to its GDP.
