Mexico: top tourist destinations 2019, by number of occupied hotel rooms

The Riviera Maya, located on the Caribbean coast of Mexico, was the top tourist destination for overnight visitors in the Latin American country in 2019, closely followed by the Mexican capital, Mexico City. That year, both destinations reported over 12 million occupied rooms in hotels or accommodation establishments. Cancún, Los Cabos, and Guadalajara completed the top five.
