Production of refined cobalt by refinery globally

The Quzhou Huayou Cobalt New Material refinery, located in China, produced the largest amount of refined cobalt worldwide in 2016, at approximately 13 million metric tons. The Finnish cobalt refinery Freeport Cobalt ranked second, producing nearly 11.2 million metric tons of this refined base metal that year.
