Volume of recycling Japan 2022, by material
In 2022, the volume of recycled plastic packaging in Japan amounted to approximately 812.5 thousand metric tons, making up the largest volume of recycled materials. While the overall recycling rate in Japan has remained at around 20 percent in the past decade, the recycling rate of plastic waste has increased in recent years.
