Number of working population that practice telecommuting regularly 2010-2022
The latest studies on telecommuting in Spain show that, even though the number of professionals that worked from home registered very low figures throughout the period under consideration, the popularity of this employment arrangement skyrocketed in 2020 as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic. With a number of professionals of almost two million, that year ranked as the period with the highest telecommuting figures. As of 2022, there were 1.31 million people working from home.
