EU: use of digital technologies by doctors to support healthcare delivery 2020

In 2020, some digital technologies were widely used among doctors in Europe, whereas others had very limited use. For instance, electronic health records were widely implemented in the delivery of care of European doctors. According to this survey, 81 percent of the responding European clinicians used Electronic health records. The use of digital technologies to prescribe was the second most. However, less than one out ten responding doctors declared to use technologies such as robotics, genomics data, radio frequency identification tags, AI, or virtual reality.
