Global primary forest loss 2021

In 2021, the loss of primary forest worldwide amounted to approxiamtely 3.7 million hectares, a decrease of 11 pecent in comparison to the previous year. Within the indicated period, the record annual primary forest loss was recorded in 2016, when more than six million hectares were lost.
