Nairobi City was the county in Kenya with the highest number of bank branches in 2021. Formed by the country's capital and its surrounding, the county had 564 bank branches, nearly 40 percent of the total (1,459). Mombasa, Kenya's old capital, counted 112 branches. Overall, the number of bank branches in Kenya slightly decreased in recent years.
