
Net value of bank loans and advances in Kenya 2010-2021
The net value of loans and advances provided by banks in Kenya reached around 2.9 trillion Kenyan shillings (KSh), about 24.7 billion U.S. dollars, in 2021. This represented an increase of roughly 10 percent from the previous year. Apart from a decrease in 2017, net loans and advances followed a general upward trend. Overall, the largest proportion of gross loans and advances were granted to individuals and households.
