Government budget funding in Egypt 2021/2022, by source
government revenue amounted to close to 1,365 billion Egyptian pounds (comparable to 86.89 billion U.S. dollars). The majority of the budget funding came through general taxes and value added tax (VAT) at approximately 497 billion and 391 billion Egyptian pounds (31.64 billion and 24.89 billion U.S. dollars), respectively.
