U.S. monthly Industrial Production Index 2019-2023

In February 2023, the Industrial Production Index (IPI) came to a value of 102.6 in the United States. This is unchanged from the previous month when the index also stood at 102.6. The IPI was created by the Federal Reserve to measure the performance of industrial production - manufacturing, mining, electric and gas industries - in the United States relative to a base year. A value of over 100 shows positive production performance, while a value below 100 indicates an industrial production performance below the standards of the base year.
